Lights Out Paranormal Research Team

Everyone Has a Story

Sunnybrook BallRoom and Restaurant and Chummy's Lounge, Pottstown, PA

I think we all believed that we would eventually be returning to Sunnybrook in due time and we fulfilled our prophecy in August of 2011. After an incredibly successful investigation in March and a packed house event by Lauri Moore, Lights Out was the group of choice to conduct the first full scale investigation of the entire building. With the massive renovations taking place in the "new" restaurant area, new stories of activity have been reported. The group was also excited because of the timing of our investigation, from close until early in the morning, a chance to experience the building with less earthly distractions. So off we went.

After a brief team meeting, we began our setup throughout the building, focusing on the restaurant and lounge areas. As we began our work, it still seemed to be the ballroom that was the most active section of the building. Team members still experienced footsteps and knocking in the same areas as before and though attempts were made to disprove them, nothing of natural cause could be found.

The restaurant and lounge area were also investigated thoroughly and while some strange occurrences were reported, most of the areas where activity was reported were subject to extreme levels of magnetic fields from all of the restaurant equipment. Anytime we document these conditions it becomes difficult  to accept the reports as paranormal. And the readings we got here were off the charts, which can cause many false feelings of paranormal activity.

With investigation wrapped up, we now rely on our equipment and reviewing skills to see if we have anything documented that cannot be explained. And we were not disappointed (once again)  by Sunnybrook.
